Here's some tips make your check-in process go smoothly and quickly when you arrive.

  • Have everyone in your group review our website (CarlisleCanoes.com) and print out the waivers (click the icons above). Click the document links above. Each document has room for several individuals to complete if you would like to print one copy – remember we need the printed name and signature of each person.
  • Bring the completed waivers the day of your trip.
  • Everyone must sign the waiver – no exceptions. Anyone under the age of 18 must have their parent or guardian sign for them.

Carlisle Canoes requires that everyone….

  • Respect Property Owners
    • Please do not trespass on private property. Only get out at designated locations.
  • Respect Other
    • Please watch profanity, or other actions that may be offensive to others
  • Respect the River
    • Many have devoted hours of service making sure that this river is as beautiful as it was 100 years ago. In order to keep it that way, the DNR has many rules and guidelines to follow. Here are a few important ones to remember.

DNR Rules include:

  • Littering is a $400 fine
  • "Rafting" (tying boats together) is illegal and punishable by a fine.
  • The AuSable River is protected; the removal of driftwood, wild flowers or other wildlife is illegal. Our drivers will NOT transport these items back to Carlisle Canoes.
  • Absolutely NO Hard Liquor! (This includes Jell-O Shots) No Glass Bottles—No Styrofoam Coolers—It is unlawful to operate a watercraft while intoxicated – If you or anyone in your group plans on getting intoxicated, please do not contact Carlisle Canoes. Carlisle Canoes recommends no more than four – twelve ounce cans of beer, per person..
  • Carlisle Canoes reserve the right to check ALL coolers.
  • Carlisle Canoes reserves the right to refuse service.
